Station Airport Düsseldorf
Do you prefer traveling by train? The airport Düsseldorf Airport has
its own railway station which is connected perfectly to the route network of the German railway "Deutsche Bahn" (DB). From Station Airport Düsseldorf ("Düsseldorf Flughafen") you can reach all important cities of the region and numerous distant destinations by train.

Over 350 trains daily stop at the airport’s railway station, from the regionally operating S-Bahn to the international ICE.

Tickets
Tickets for all trains, i.e. local and long-distance traffic, are available at the DB-counter inside the station. Tickets for long-distance trains can also be purchased online from Deutsche Bahn (DB) after your connection enquiry.

With the SkyTrain from the Terminal to the station

The cabin railway “SkyTrain” (image above) connects the Terminal with the airport’s railway station. After your arrival the SkyTrain takes you quickly and comfortably – with only one short stopover at car Park 4 – to the station. After leaving the security area please follow the signposts in direction SkyTrain.

With the S11 from the Terminal directly to the city
Do you want to go to the city by train? The best would be to use the conve-
nient connection of the S11 S-Bahn line. This is the only train that does not stop at the big railway station of the airport, but has its own underground station below the Terminal and also separately signposted as “S11”. Tickets can be purchased at the multilingual ticket machine on the platform. However, you need coins and notes of the Euro currency.

The S11 brings you to the main station. If you want to go to the old town ("Altstadt"), just use one of the numerous subway trains that travel in this direction and leave the train at the station “Heinrich-Heine-Allee”.
