In 2024, Düsseldorf Airport made decisive progress on its way to becoming an excellent airport. For the first time since the pandemic, more than 20 million passengers were welcomed back. Customer satisfaction increased significantly thanks to the Off-Block quality initiative. Throughout the year, 97 percent of passengers were able to pass through security checks in less than ten minutes. Top rankings were achieved in airport rankings such as Skytrax in 2024. Once again, Düsseldorf Airport was the most punctual major airport in Germany.
The future starts now – this is the attitude with which we are tackling the megatrends of the 21st century and addressing tomorrow's challenges today. Our vision of becoming a “Destination of Excellence” is at the heart of our airport's future development. We are pursuing clear goals: we want to be among the best airports in Europe in the category of up to 30 million passengers, be a pioneer in sustainability, and strengthen our region as an attractive employer.
