Park at the airport, shop in the city centre
Those who drive to Düsseldorf between 1 February and 30 June 2023 can take advantage of an inexpensive Park & Ride KombiTicket from Düsseldorf Airport. Parking lot P13 is just a four-minute walk from the subway stop “Lohausen”. From there, with trains operating at 10-minute intervals, it is only a 14-minute ride on the subway line U79 to the “Heinrich-Heine-Allee” stop in the city centre.

Whether you drive on A44 from Ratingen or Krefeld, or on B8 from Duisburg, parking lot P13 is easy to reach. Just check your GPS before your trip to determine which route is best for you.

Which parking lot can I use?
The Park & Ride offer is available for parking lot P13, which is close to subway station “Lohausen”. From there, you can catch a subway on the U79 line every ten minutes.
What is the offer period and for how long can I park?
The Park & Ride offer is valid from 1 February through 30 June 2023. During this period, users can park between 9:00 am and 1:00 am for a maximum of 8 hours.
How do I get my transport ticket?
Every customer receives a booking confirmation for the parking lot when they complete the parking booking. This confirmation is also the ticket for Düsseldorf’s public transport system. It is valid as a round-trip ticket for both KombiTicket variations on the booked day for public transport within the city area. It is good for three or five people.
How and when do I scan the QR code?
- Have your QR code (on your booking confirmation) ready on your smartphone or printed on paper when you enter.
- Scan the QR code at a 45-degree angle at the automatic barrier until the machine reads it.
- When the scan is complete, a parking ticket is issued. Please take the ticket.
- When exiting, put the parking ticket in the barrier automat.
Which public transportation can I use?
The KombiTicket entitles you to a free round-trip on all transportation within the local public transport system (called VRR) and includes 2nd class/economy class trips (A3 price level) on DB trains (Deutsche Bahn - German rail system) within Düsseldorf’s city limits. The subway line U79 takes you to the city centre and back from the stop “Lohausen”.

The KombiTickets are available for either three or five people.
