FAQ
You can find the General Terms and Conditions for parking at Düsseldorf Airport at the following link:
Since summer 2025, automatic license plate recognition has been fully implemented in all our parking facilities. This means that our passengers benefit from a much more convenient and smoother entry and exit process. A parking ticket is no longer required; the license plate now serves as the sole means of identification. Further information is available here.
In our Kiss & Fly zone, too, vehicle license plates are recorded by cameras when entering and exiting. If the free time in the Kiss & Fly holding zone is not exceeded, the barriers open automatically at the exit without the driver having to insert their ticket into the reader. Individual license plate data is deleted from the systems after 24 hours.
People with severe disabilities who have a blue European Parking Permit issued by the Road Traffic Office may park their vehicle free of charge in the “Terminal” and “Long-term” parking areas (does not apply to parking lots P11 and P12) at Düsseldorf Airport. Free parking in the “Kiss & Fly” area on the departure level is limited to a maximum of three hours.
The presentation of a disabled person's ID card is not sufficient for the use of a disabled parking space. Only parking permit holders can use the special parking facilities at Düsseldorf Airport, but not those picking up and dropping off passengers.
When leaving one of our parking garages, please announce yourself via the intercom system. An employee of the parking garage operator will come to the exit and activate it as soon as he has noted the number of your blue European Parking Permit and the license plate number.

Battery recharging station
Parking customers at Düsseldorf Airport will find electric charging stations in parking garages P3, P5, P7, and P8. All charging stations are equipped with a Schuko plug and a Type 2 plug (Mennekes plug). In parking garage P3, additional charging stations with type 2 sockets (Mennekes plugs) are available, which require you to bring your own charging cable. The charging process can be started with a standard charging card or via an app from a roaming partner of ladenetz.de. In addition, contract-free charging via smartphone app using PayPal or credit card is also possible at appropriately marked stations.
Shell petrol station
The Shell petrol station is located between multi-storey car park P5 and the car rental centre. It is thus located in direct proximity to the terminal. Particularly practical for car rental customers is that you can refuel "right next door" before returning the vehicle. In addition to the common fuels, natural gas and liquefied gas are also available here.
In addition, the petrol station has a modern car wash. Anyone who wishes to can wash his/her car here him/herself or have it cleaned professionally.
