For the airlines, children traveling alone from A to B are routine. For the little ones to feel at home and enjoy a good trip they get special care: From check-in to arrival at their destination airport, unaccompanied children are well looked after by the Airlines.

With most airlines, children can travel alone from as young as 5 years of age. Important is that you register your child as an unaccompanied minor with the airline at an early stage. You can do that by telephone/e-mail direct or via your travel agent. As a rule, the airlines raise an additional charge on top of the normal fare.
